I guess I’ve been missong Nova Scotia a bit lately, been quite a bit since I was there. The travel restrictions have made it impossible to go, but it’s opening up now……maybe this year? Maybe. I love this shot of Louisburg Lighthouse, the light on the tower with that moody sky behind, how could I ask for more?

This is Canadian legend Jan Arden performing at Kemptville Live Music Festival in 2018 and I was lucky enough to be there. 2020 and up to now in 2021 has been a bad time for the music industry but there are signs of bouncing back. Jann has rescheduled her 2020 tour dates and will be through Ontario in May of 2022. It will be such a thrill to see live music once again and can’t wait for Jann.

I wanted to shoot this lady from a different angle but when I tried to reposition, she would see me and move out of the web.

This is a shot I made in Toronto near Queen’s Park. Architectural subjects can provide lots of interest, particularly if you are just looking at lines, shapes, angles and things like that. Geometry is all around us…if we choose to see it.

Our trip to Scotland would certainly rank very high on my list favourite places I’ve been. The history was fabulous and abundant. We visited many castles, both intact and ruins. I never tired of exploring the history. This particular place, Fyvie Castle dated back to 1211, how’s that for history? We all learned about medieval times in school but to have the opportunity to stand and witness things that existed during that time is a little surrealistic. I couldn’t help but wonder what sorts of things happened and what people from history may have visited here. There is something to be said for seeing history as opposed to reading about it in a book in school, that’s for sure!
