I keep saying to myself that I am going to get out and shoot some landscape stuff, but I never seem to get it done. The winter was so cold and work got in the way, there always seems to be a logical explanation why I don't get out. My only shooting for quite some time is my concerts. This image is one I got of The Hunter Brothers when the opened for High Valley here in Kingston. I like the photo because of the mood, everyone was just acting like they were having a good time.

It's been too long since I've posted again. Life too often gets in the way and it gets away from you. I've also been pretty busy shooting concerts recently and will post some stuff from my adventures shortly. Lately I have been spending some time going through older images, ones that might be more then first thought. As time goes by, you pick up more processing skills, or maybe software will progress and an image that at first wasn't useful to you might become something you can use. This image was made in Sedona, Arizona. I was waiting patiently for a particular place to light up as the setting sun poked through the clouds, but all of a sudden these mountains lit up first. Totally unexpected, but I'll take it.

My first concert of 2018 was February 3, photographing Gord Bamford and his band. Shooting at the Grand is a bit challenging due to limited vantage points, but you always seem to get it done just the same. I have shot Gord several times and I like this what I got from this one the best. This year is looking like another great year of shows for me, including a couple more of my bucket list people.
Gord Bamford, February 3, 2018. Grand Theatre, Kingston.
Robin Pelletier, February 3, 2018. Grand Theatre, Kingston.
Lisa Dodd, February 3, 2018. Grand Theatre, Kingston.

Details like lines and colour often interest me.......

I couldn't resist another wintery, icy image. This one is from a couple of years ago on a trip out to Amherst Island. Sometimes it's hard to get motivated in the winter with all the cold weather, but there are photographs to be had if you drag yourself out there. :)
